Rare Russian pin from the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II designed as a gold lover’s knot, each loop set with a sapphire and diamond trefoil, its tapered stem set with rose diamonds.

One of the few native Russian jewelers to work for Fabergé, Vladimir Soloviev specialized in small pencils and other gold objects. Soloviev had his own workshop, which he took over from Ringe-Mickelsen in St. Petersburg.
