Victorian Gold Brooch, circa 1870
From the mid-Victorian era, a gold Etruscan Revival memorial pin, the raised center enhanced with a seed pearl in a starburst setting within beaded gold borders. The reverse is fitted with a glass-covered compartment for a photo or lock of hair. Can be worn on a chain as a pendant by threading chain through pin attachment.
