Each from the Romanov era, period of Tsars Alexander II and III, the first, rectangular, the hinged cover painted with a woman wearing a babushka seated outdoors, her back to the viewer enjoying tea from a samovar, circa 1880, the second cylindrical, the slip-on cover painted with a traditional Russian troika scene, the sides with ribbing, circa 1850
Each probably Vishniakov or Lukutine, but unmarked.
The first: 3 ¾ x 3 ¾ x 2 ¾ in. (9.5 x 9.5 x 7 cm); the second: 4 ¼ diam. x 3 ½ in. high (11.4 x 8.9 cm)
