Russian nielloed silver box from the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II, with rounded corners, overall nielloed with scrolling foliage, displaying a central scene of a Moscow cityscape, the reverse with further scrolling decoration in niello. Inscribed in French 15th of August 1904, the interior fitted with silk compartments for coins (worn).
Moscow, 1899-1908 with maker’s mark.
