The sides and cover engraved with geometric motifs in the Old Russian style, the center of hinged cover applied with an enameled silver double-headed Romanov Eagle with downturned wings, fitted with two drop ring handles.

Pyotr Pavlovich Milyukov opened a small
silver workshop in Moscow on the Oficerski Prospekt in 1877.
The factory produced silver table items including beakers, tea
caddies, trays, kovshi, nielloed pictorial teaspoons and small
emamels. In 1897, the workshop comprised of 18 craftsmen
and 15 apprentices. Records indicate the Miliukov workshop
ceased operation in 1912.
This is my second purchase from the seller and, again, I can say it was a marvelous experience.
