Stunning Russian imperial medallion of solid silver, on one side is a bust portrait of Empress Maria Feodorovna (1847-1928) wife of Tsar Alexander III. The reverse depicts a figure standing with objects at feet symbolizing Learning. Russian Inscription in Cyrillic reads: “Her Majesty Maria Feodorovna for Good Conduct and Success in Science”. Signed. Within a bezel frame attached to an oval suspension ring.
