A Russian silver snuff box from the reign of Tsar Alexander III, the hinged cover nielloed with a stylized scene of the Palace Square in St. Petersburg, surmounted by scrolls, the base with a small wooden ship moored before a walled fortress, with crosshatched nielloed sides.
Moscow, 1866 maker’s mark Cyrillic I.I., assaymaster Victor Savinkov. Fully hallmarked. Interior with monogram.
