Russian Imperial-era Brass Neoclassical Eagle Box, 19th century

Beautiful Russian brass and silver imperial trinket box from the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II, rectangular with rounded corners, the borders and sides decorated with intricate floral and peaked arch motifs, the cover applied with a neoclassical Romanov eagle on an etched circular background flanked by two roundels, raised on four bun feet, the inside lined with purple velvet.

Probably from the Causcasus, 19th century 6 x 4 x 3 ½ in. (15.2 x 10.2 x 8.9 cm) (l x w x h)
