Russian Imperial-era Gold Sapphire Diamond Brooch with Heart, circa 1900
A rare gold pin from the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II, designed as horizontal gold bands, the middle one of ropework design, applied with a sapphire and diamond trefoil-the symbol of the Holy Trinity in the Russian Orthodox religion-the leaves set with seed pearls and suspending a small gold heart pendant.
Stamped with Russian hallmarks for 1904-1908. 3.4 grams gross wt.
