Depicting Christ Pantocrator, the reverse painted with the Old Church Slavonic Cyrillic initials XB for Xristos Voskrese or Christ is Risen. The egg is painted by hand and fired in a custom-made kiln in the artist’s studio in St. Petersburg, Russia. Attached to a large suspension ring to accommodate chains of various sizes.
