An important collection belonging to Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna, the grand dame of jewelry collectors in late imperial Russia comprising bejewelled bespoke cigarette cases and Grand Ducal cufflinks, many made by Fabergé, Kochli and other and imperial jewellers from St. Petersburg and Paris. Rediscovered stashed in two striped linen pillowcases, also offered to sale, in the Swedish Foreign Office in 2009 after decades of obscurity. With accompanying historical descriptions not available online on the rediscovery of the cache, the Vladimir Palace, Grand Ducal Cufflinks, Imperial Weddings and Anniversaries and more. Consigned by the descendants of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna.
