A pair of Russian diamond earrings from the Romanov era, period of tsar Alexander III, each set with a cluster of eight Old European-cut diamonds, mounted in rose gold, the swing back fittings attach to the ear from back to front. In an original silk lined leather box stamped Khlebnikov in Cyrillic.
Stamped St Petersburg, circa 1880, 56, the gold standard for 14k gold.
¾ in. (1.9 cm) long; cluster measures 3/8 in (1.3 cm) diameter, 5/8 in. (1.6 cm) long including wire.
