This rare Russian necklace is from the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II. It comprises a beautiful garland of scrolling and foliate design and is set with a pear-shaped aquamarine suspended from a cushion-shaped aquamarine which is accented by small aquamarines and rose diamonds and attached to an original rose gold link backchain.
St. Petersburg, 1908-17. Fully hallmarked.
Front jeweled section measures 2 ¼ in. x 2 ½ in. (5.7 x 6.4 cm). Pear shaped aquamarine measures 29 x 11.3 (at the widest) x 6.9 mm and cushion-cut aquamarine measures 12 x 8.5 x 6.2 mm. Pendant mount set with pear-shaped aquamarine measures .8 in. (2 cm) long. Length of necklace 15 ¾ in. (40.1 cm).

Stamped on the necklace, the upper gold part is stamped with a Cyrillic D or with an A, on one side and a W on the other. the ring has kokoshnik stamp for 1908-17. Chain is original to necklace and is stamped MK, 56 and kokoshnik on both ends. Both aquamarine mounts have the kokoshnik stamp at the bottom.
