French Enamel Diamond 18k Gold Brooch, circa 1905

Of neoclassical design, this beautiful Parisian 18k gold pin is decorated with translucent cobalt blue enamel over an etched herringbone ground, applied with a ribbon-tied rose diamond floral garland within a white enamel border edged in diamonds. The reverse is engraved with a quiver of arrows, symbol of love.

Paris, circa 1905, stamped with the eagle head hallmark for 18k gold in use in France since 1847.
