From the Romanov era, period of Tsar Nicholas II, the gold cigarette case decorated with alternating reeded bands and fitted with a cabochon sapphire thumbpiece.

By the First Kievan Artel, Kiev, circa 1908, stamped with the maker’s mark in Cyrillic, and the kokosnik (Russian headdress) for Kiev, 1908-17.

3 1/8 x 2 3/8 x 7/16 in. (7.9 x 6 x 1.1 cm).

The First Kievan Artel produced items for the House of Fabergé in Kiev and was located at the same address.
