Russian Fabergé Imperial-era Silver Sweetmeat Dish circa 1900

With rounded corners supported by four ball feet. Centrally set with a Russian Ruble coin of Empress Anna of Russia (1693-1740), dated 1734. The rim decorated with anthemion.

By Julius Rappoport with workmaster’s Cyrillic mark I.P. Stamped Fabergé in Russian with Imperial warrant in separate punch. Marked with St. Petersburg silver standard of 88 for dates 1899-1908.

Julius (Isaac) Abramovich Rappoport (1851-1917)

Rappoport became a master and director of the Fabergé silver workshop in St. Petersburg in the early 1900s. The Rappoport workshop on 9 Kazacheskaia Street was bought by the Third Artel.
