This historic ring from Birmingham England is set with emeralds, tourmalines and seed pearls, symbolizing the colors of the famous women’s movement (green-hope; purple ambition & loyalty; white-honor) in an intricate gold setting, the shank engraved with scrolls.

2018 marks the centenary of women’s right to vote. In 1897 when this ring was made, one of its leading lights Millicent Fawcett founded the National Union of Women Suffrage Societies later known as the Suffragettes in Central London.
