Christian Dior Red Velvet Salon Mirror, Paris, 1950s

Classic and elegant Empire-style salon mirror by Christian Dior in Paris. Covered in rich red velvet, the front is applied with neoclassical design elements in brass including rosettes on each corner of the inset bevelled mirror and a stiff palm leaf design below a pediment. The base of the strut is stamped Christian Dior Paris.
