From the Romanov era period of Tsar Nicholas II, designed as a silver-gilt abacus with silver rings, some oxidized to provide contrasts, each strung on bars within a gilded frame.
Stamped 84, the Russian silver standard and stamped with the Cyrillic initials M.F.
